Mr Terry Willis practices in all forms of litigation including professional negligence and common law.
Prior to being admitted to the bar in 1988, Mr Willis had eleven years experience as a solicitor and was a senior partner for eight years in a country/suburban firm.
Mr Willis has special interest in sports related law having been a finalist in the National Swimming Championships; played and coached water polo; participated in triathlons; and played rugby league and rugby union. Mr Willis has been the Chairman of the New South Wales Rugby Union Judiciary since 1992 and is an Honorary Life Member of NSWRU. Mr Willis has also been a Judicial Chairman for Super Rugby and Test Matches since 1996. Mr Willis has acted as a Judicial Officer appointed by World Rugby since 1996, and was one of the Judicial Officers dealing with disciplinary matters for the 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups, Commonwealth Youth Games and British Lions’ Tours of New Zealand in 2005; South Africa in 2009 and New Zealand in 2017. In 2015 Mr Willis was appointed as a member of the Australian Olympic Appeals Panel. Mr Willis is currently a karate-do practitioner.
